Collaborative

A series of simultaneous situations
Event #1
Saturday, January 24th
2 pm EST/11am PST
Joanne Luongo
Paper Girls Studio
Fellow Artist and illustrator Sarah Coleman and I started a collaborative piece in July of
2007. It is quite challenging for the both of us, considering our styles are so radically
different.  Sarah is in England, and I am in New England, so back and forth across the
pond goes this little piece of cloth that grows ever stranger as the times passes.
Stage 1
I burn a piece of cloth and
suture it back together
Stage 2
Sarah draws this beautiful
face on it
Stage 3
I cover the eyes with
emulsion lift transfers
